Sarah: One of my best friends in the world that´s been living in London for the last nine months. She´s trying to get me to stay in a hostel tomorrow. I can´t see it happening at this stage. I´m not a slum-ready type guy.

I´ve been here for all of three seconds but as soon as Sarah got off the plane I turned into this crazy Barcelonian tour guide. Armed only with my Lonely Planet know-how we traipsed across the city from the Colum to the Sagrada Familia and back again.

My feet are going to fall off but I love this city.

What´s doing the most for me at the moment is being able to share all of my discoveries with someone new. The mulleted men. The street performers. The dirt-cheap backstreet stores. The crazy prostitutes. The amazing squares that just appear from nowhere.

This is gravy. If I could speak Spanish, it´s likely I´d come and live here.
